George Rice — Running Coach, Jersey & Channel Islands

RiceyRuns Coaching is built around one simple belief: good running comes from consistency, confidence and a plan that fits real life.

Led by George Rice, a Jersey-based runner and online run coach, RiceyRuns helps athletes of all levels train with purpose — whether you are preparing for your first start line, chasing a personal best, returning from a break, or looking to build a healthier long-term relationship with running.

Experience You Can Trust

George Rice brings a rare mix of personal performance, formal sport education and practical coaching experience to RiceyRuns. As an athlete, George has progressed from local racing to representing Jersey at the Island Games, earning medals across road and track events. His personal bests include a 2:26:44 marathon, 67:59 half marathon, 30:16 10K and 14:56 5K — performances that reflect years of consistent, structured training.

As a coach, George uses that experience to help runners avoid the common mistakes he has learned from himself: doing too much too soon, training too hard on easy days, lacking structure, or following generic plans that do not fit real life. RiceyRuns coaching combines personalised programming, regular feedback and modern online coaching tools, with sessions built around pace, heart rate and effort so every runner knows the purpose of their training.

But RiceyRuns is not just about fast times. It is about helping runners understand their training, stay accountable, avoid common mistakes and enjoy the process of getting better. Every athlete is different, so coaching is personal, adaptable and built around your goals, lifestyle, experience and current fitness.

As part of the Endurance Coaching Crew, RiceyRuns is connected to a wider team of coaches who share the same goal: helping athletes reach their potential through supportive, individualised 1–1 coaching. That means you get the personal guidance of George, backed by a broader coaching community with a shared passion for endurance sport.

Whether your goal is to finish your first race, run further than before, break a long-standing PB or simply become a more consistent runner, RiceyRuns Coaching gives you the structure, support and belief to move forward — one run at a time.
